The Essence of Creation

This question for those who believe in God is centuries old. Everyone goes through this perplexing
question because they want to do what is right in God's eyes. Some answer that the ultimate end of
our being is adoring God eternally, and therefore, we should learn how to do that in this life in the
expectation of what is to come in the after life. Many choose the contemplative life, such as Buddhist
monks, in anticipation of this end. Others believe that God's will is in the eternal creation of new
universes, occupied by a constant creation of new beings, whose purpose is to create additional
beings, all of whom work to propagate God's will in this fashion - the fashion of creating new souls
who will ultimately enjoy God eternal essence.
I include in this act of creation all animal and vegetative creations, all of which consist of various
levels of spiritual awareness. I do not include minerals since minerals do not have a will, although
many will argue that vegetative matter does not possess a will, but the counter-argument can be
made that vegetative matter responds to stimuli, such as, when sawing into a tree, the tree will
"bleed" losing its sap, and therefore, they argue, a tree has feelings, and that response, can arguably
be used to suggest it contains a soul - a vegetative soul.
These are all beautiful arguments made by proponents of both sides, yet a synthesized view would
show that neither would be correct because one cannot simply gaze upon God 24 hours a day, 365
days a year, although we all wished we could do that because God is infinitely worthy of our
adoration. Nor can we engage in creatiing more souls or creatures every waking moment of our lives.
So what is the answer?
The answer lies in the key word call "balance". If we notice the universe that we can see, there is
balance in our solar system, and balance throughout the universe. So, too, there must be balance in
everything that we do. To be spiritually healthy, there must be a constant replenishing of our body's
needs, by eating healthily - balanced diets - and there must be a constant replenishing of our
spiritual needs, by properly feeding our soul - balanced communication with God.
Therefore, it is necessary for us to make direct contact with God in order to know the essence of
God, which then provides us with the knowledge of our own essence. Once we accomplish this task,
we can then live our lives balancing our love for God with our love for God's creation.
