My Answers to the Abortion Issue
Although I believe the Supreme Court erred in Roe v. Wade, because I believe the Supreme Court rendered unto Caesar that which belongs to God, namely, its redefining of when the miracle of life begins, when I take the oath of office I must faithfully execute the laws of the land, and constitutionally speaking, Roe v. Wade is currently the law of the land. However, I will continue to write books on theology and the moral issues facing us in the hope that our children will become more enlightened as to what the act of abortion really is as it relates to the sacred gift of life.
Given the fact that the right to an abortion is constitutional, I will work to promote a greater awareness of the implications of terminating a miraculous life and the finality of the consequences of such an act. I will support those programs that educate our young people concerning the development of life from the point of conception to delivery in order that our children will become more responsible and respectful of human life. I cannot stress enough that without children, we cannot have a future because our children are our future. I very strongly support and believe in women's rights, but I also believe in God's rights, and those two rights do not have to be in opposition one with the other. In view of this, I ask all Americans not to judge anyone who exercises his or her rights because we are all accountable each for our own actions.
My Answers to the Gay and Minority Rights Issue
With respect to the rights of gays and all minorities, I will continue to work for those who are disenfranchised from the protections of our laws because of their religion, race, ethnic origins, sexual orientation, physical or mental handicaps, or gender. Every American citizen is entitled to protection from any violations of their Constitutional rights. I will work to see that the laws are enforced that provide protection for all of our citizens and not just a privileged few.
My Answers to Issues Concerning The Economy
As President, I would return the Federal Government to "Targeted Spending". Targeted Spending is the allocating of taxation to the "purpose" for which those taxes were originally imposed. Gasoline taxes were implemented to assure better highways and bridges, yet our gasoline taxes are being used to subsidize foreign countries' mistakes and other general fund purposes, to the detriment of our highways, bridges and tunnels. Social Security taxes were implemented to provide retirement funds for those over 65. Instead, those taxes are being used again for general fund purposes to the detriment and possible insolvency of the Social Security Trust Fund. We also have other trust funds for civil servants, military retirees, railroad retirees and such, which are equally being depleted and replaced with IOUs.
The Social Security Trust Fund alone, according to an article written by Rita Koselka in Forbes Magazine on October 9, 1995, had a 12 TRILLION dollar obligation "for its unfunded pension liability under Social Security". If one cares to look up the national deficits for the ensuing years, the funds due to the SS Trust Fund increase to upwards of 17 trillion dollars. Other government pension trust funds are due close to 3 trillion dollars. The federal govt. also borrows from and owes the public sector another 8 trillion dollars. In a nutshell, these debts have to be paid. Who will pay them? You, your children, your grandchildren and your great grandchildren, and so on and so on, because they are too much to handle for the current generation.
If I see who the "bank robbers" are, so can you, and if we are not going to do anything about it, we can only blame ourselves.
In addition to Targeted Spending, I would insist upon across-the-board cuts in Federal Spending in the amounts necessary to stem the federal debt and provide for a "real" economic recovery, not one based on Federal Notes to the Social Security Trust Fund, notes which will never be recovered, and which falsely gives the impression that the Federal Government is fiscally sound, and is balancing its budget, when in fact our combined foreign and domestic debts are unpayable.
You will never see these figures regarding the Federal Government's obligations because they are buried and hidden from the American public through the use of the ploy that the "government is simply forgiving the government" these loans. The funds that were in the trust were replaced with IOUs in the form of Federal Notes which the Federal Government cannot pay back, and when they cannot pay them back, they simply forgive themselves from paying them back. Don't you wish you and I could do that?
Knowing that these funds can never be repaid, and continuing to raid the Social Security Trust Fund, this is a commission of a fraud, bigger than any bank fraud ever imagined, and this fraud that is going on right now has converted the Social Security System from an honest retirement program to a Ponzi scheme, similar to and no different than the worst pyramid club you can imagine. You would serve a long time in prison if you came up with this same scheme.
Some of our Congressmen, present and past, however, are living high off the hog instead of being thrown in jail as we would be.
So what is Congress' attitude? "So what?" they say, "the Federal Government simply owes the Federal Government!" Really? The Federal Government does NOT owe the Federal Government. The Federal Government owes the American people their life's savings and the Federal Government has squandered those savings away, and they have the nerve to say "So what?"
What is the answer to solving this problem? I would demand three things from the Congress to solve this problem:
