19. Historically, there have been many people, some in high offices, and some in lowly offices who have stated that they saw visions, felt a supernatural force or had been overcome by warm feelings, or feelings of a transformation of their bodies or their souls or both. What I have experienced is not describable nor can I draw you a picture of what I saw because it is all suprasensory. The best that I could do is attempt to describe it, so that those who do see the same vision of God that I saw can take comfort in the fact that it is not something to fear desiring. We can compare notes, so to speak, and not fall into the trap that I did, by not placing any credence into the fact that I saw God because others, supposedly more learned than I in those things, convinced me otherwise. I was young, 19 or 20, very inexperienced in the spiritual life. Who was to blame for those many years that I ignored the most important event in my life? I rest my concerns in that regard in my Father's care and seek nothing but mercy and the love of God for those who misguided me. With those who love God, all things work for the good, as someone once said.
So to answer your question, and you have asked the right person, because I know of no one who has admitted to seeing God as I have, face to face, so to speak, and written about it as I have. If someone wishes to correct me, I will be happy to apologize once I know the facts. Lao-tze comes closest to describing the indescribable, but not as fully as God led me to describe Him. The writings of Lao-tze indicate to me that he was too judgmental of others who were seeking the way to Heaven. For example, a judgmental attitude is indicative to me when he says things like "those who know do not tell, and those who tell do not know". I know and I am telling in my books, and I am still writing and telling. My next book tells how to get "There" through contemplation, if God gives me the time I need to complete it and print it. I use the example of the lemmings following their leader over a cliff into the ocean and then swimming out into the ocean until they are exhausted and drown. Would Lao-tze not want me to show others that "the way" is not jumping into the ocean and swimming until exhausted and then drowning? That is "the way" of the world, to satisfy the flesh and not the spirit, until the flesh is so exhausted it is too weak to find its way back into a healthy environment, that it brings the spirit down with it into the hell of dissipation, drugs, booze, sensualities, hopelessness and despair, among others, as they swim farther and farther out into the ocean of spiritual diseases. But "the way" to Heaven I "know" of, I am "telling" to those who have ears to hear with, spiritually speaking. "The Way" that I describe in my coming book is simple. There is nothing complex about "the way" to Heaven, there is nothing mysterious, because God is simple, and God is not mysterious.
So the way to know if you have received a vision of God, or a supernatural force or feeling concerning God must follow some rules, but the more you know about God, the less you need to rely on rules.
Being in God's presence is an overwhelming experience to say the least. You lose all material and physical considerations, because you are totally absorbed by His presence. There is too much about His being that you want to take in. His light is blinding but at the same time beautiful, He completely dispels all fear and after the vision you fear only one thing, losing His love and friendship by sinning. That is just a touch of what you see. I can go on for years and cover only a fraction of the experience, but as you know from reading my books, we cannot describe all that there is to describe. Now what are some of the rules?
"If you have seen God, you will love virtue and hate sin, but you will love sinners and wish them to be in God's love; you will love truth and will hate false doctrines, but you will pray that God will let His truth be revealed to those who preach false doctrines and to those who listen to false doctrines, the lemmings. You rejoice when others find God, you do not rejoice when others lose God."
"If you have seen God, you will look at His creation and His creatures and see Him in them. If a creature is weak, you will strengthen and support that creature so that you can bring that creature to Him. How? If you have seen God, you never ask how, you just do it."
"If you have seen God, you will sow seeds of harmony and unity among His creatures and will destroy the seeds of discord and division. He will show you where those evil seeds are and how to destroy them."
"If you have seen God, you will use the strength of your being to bring others into His light, without fear, without hate, without impatience, but with strength, love and longlasting patience. If you have seen God, you will radiate His joy, His love and His strength, and those who have seen God, will know that you have seen God, by your example, and by the other signs that only those who have seen God know."
"If you have seen God, you will discern spirits and will know when not to dispense His love within you toward those abusers of His love, and you will rely on the spirit of His justice within you in determining how to react to those interested in extinguishing His light within you."
These are quasi-rules. As I said, the more you know God, the less you pay attention to rules. Please reread "A Vision of God" or Chapter 9 of "Beyond the Universe" for more information on the nature of God and the discernment of spirits.
Once again, God created us to know Him, He does not confuse us, satan confuses. God is simple, He loves us infinitely and His love is powerful, infinitely powerful. When He controls the universe, we having nothing to fear by serving Him, but everything to fear if we don't.
In the one true God,
